A couple from Rajsamand district was arrested for allegedly torturing a seven-year-old girl, who is a distant relative, for over two months. They allegedly ill-fed the child, forced her to do all household chores, severely punished her even for petty mistakes including tying her upside down and thrashing her, besides putting chilli powder on her private parts and branding her.
