BJP state president Satish Poonia visited Baba Magra island in Jaisamand lake on his two-day tour of Udaipur for the Jan Aakrosh Yatra. Poonia rowed the boat to the island and introduced himself to the villagers who had been cut off from the mainland for several years. During his visit, Poonia discussed the problems of the villagers and issued instructions to Salumber MP Arjun Meena for getting the construction of a water tank, a road, and a crematorium sanctioned with immediate effect. On Monday evening, Poonia addressed the gathering in Jaisamand region. He also expressed his desire to meet the people dwelling on the island.
