Dengue cases in Kota and Jaipur account for more than 39% of the total cases in the state of Rajasthan. Efforts to contain the spread of the disease are considered inadequate. The recent rains have created breeding grounds for mosquitoes, causing further concern. Healthcare workers are conducting door-to-door surveys to educate people about preventive measures and eliminate mosquito breeding spaces. Some cases with dengue-like symptoms are also being reported. So far, six deaths have been attributed to dengue in the state.
